The completion of GCT’s newly extended showroom and the formalization of the distributor agreement for the Elitron CNC knife cutting table coincided to produce extremely well supported open days during July.
A team of sales and support staff from Elitron combined with GCT engineers to demonstrate the amazing versatility and smart software, cutting a huge range of gasket materials, foam, packaging, polycarbonate and carpet materials.
Visitors from many industries attended, having been attracted not just by the CNC knife cutting table, but by the Nova water jet cutting machine and also the extensive range of die cutting presses which were all displayed during the event.
Interestingly, there is now an increasing awareness that water jet cutting machines can be no more expensive than a CNC knife cutting table [at, least not as far as GCT’s portfolio is concerned] so the technologies can be offered in a totally unbiased way in order to find the genuinely best solution for any given cutting application.
This theme really resonated with customers old and new, many of whom completely realigned their thoughts on machine type and investment criteria.
A number of orders were closed shortly after the open day sessions and, in fact, the event was so successful and well supported [in fact it was over subscribed!] more open days are already being planned and will become a regular event in the cutting industry calendar.
However, GCT are keen to point out that they currently have the largest range of cutting machinery on permanent display under one roof and customers obviously do not need to wait for open days – they are welcome to visit [and indeed many do] at any time in order to avail themselves of a focused evaluation of their applications, taking as much time as they require to run through die cutting presses, water jet cutting or CNC knife cutting.
Full conference facilities are also available with access to a vast library of videos showing machinery and solutions for every conceivable industrial cutting application.
Additionally, GCT’s extensive sub contract die cutting facility is now fully up and running to provide a service which has been requested so often by customers over the years.
This facility is providing a cutting service for customers who experience peaks in production but may not be ready to invest in equipment or who have a general outsourcing policy. Work is even being processed for customers awaiting delivery of new systems but are in need of capacity in the intervening period.
All these facilities and services are combining to provide the most comprehensive ‘one stop shop’ for GCT customers:
- New die cutting presses and systems
- Water jet cutting machines
- CNC knife cutting tables
- The Nova range of low cost cutting machines
- Second hand cutting presses
- Sub contract die cutting
- Spare parts
