Recession - what Recession?
With uncertain times ahead economically, it was clear to us at GCT that to maintain our lead in the die cutting field we had to address the top and bottom areas of market requirement.
The top end requires ever more automation plus clever and sophisticated solutions for advanced die cutting applications - to produce faster with less labour whilst saving material.
The bottom end is demanding lower cost, value engineered cutting presses. Potential customers often seek secondhand machines. To address this, GCT has incorporated a range of new swing arm, travelling head and fixed beam presses at prices that are little more than secondhand prices - the NOVA range.
Also, coming soon, is a price breaking new water jet cutting system which will really open up this still buoyant area of the machine tool market and later on , a CNC knife (or dieless) cutting system will follow.
